Ferretti Yachts has introduced its newest model, the 860, which combines elegance and practicality. The yacht’s hull and superstructure feature eye-catching glass, and it boasts full-height picture windows along both sides with a bold railing cap that adds a bright, horizontal line. The flybridge is customizable, with the after half open for personalization, including a hot tub option. The forward half features a dinette for eight guests, a sun pad to port, and a wet bar and two-seat helm station to starboard. Owners can choose from three sizes of hardtop, with the largest one surpassing that of the flagship Ferretti Yachts 1000.

The yacht offers ample alfresco space, including a 120-square-foot foredeck terrace with low, forward-facing, deep-seat armchairs and low booth seating, all meticulously detailed in wood and stainless steel. A glass balustrade at the aft enhances the connection to the sea, while the hydraulic swim platform provides an ideal spot for relaxation or launching toys. The garage accommodates a 13-foot jet tender and a two-seat personal watercraft.

The main salon is approximately 290 square feet, offering unobstructed views through its cut-down bulwarks and expansive glazing. The space is flexibly furnished, with Poltrona Frau furniture in Hull No. 1. Owners can choose from contemporary or classic decor with light or dark hues. The forward end of the main deck is a solid example of flexible yacht design, where guests and crew can enjoy privacy with sliding doors that can close off the starboard-side galley and portside day head or the forward bridge area and nearby booth seating.

A helical staircase leads to the guest accommodations, flooded with natural light from the lower lobby. The yacht features four en suite staterooms, all accessed from a corridor offset to port. The full-beam owners’ stateroom is near amidships, with a forward-facing, king-size berth, a sofa and shower room to port, and a vanity and walk-in closet to starboard. The VIP stateroom is forward with a double berth, and headroom is generous in the accommodations space, measuring about 6 feet and 8 inches everywhere.

The yacht also includes quarters for four crew, with twin-bunk cabins tucked into the bow and their own stairway beneath the 860’s single-pane windshield. The booth to port of the lower helm serves as a crew mess aboard a more formally run yacht.

The Ferretti Yachts 860 boasts exceptional performance, with two choices of MAN engines, twin 1,800 hp or 2,000 hp V-12 diesels that spin out via vee-boxes. At full throttle, the larger MANs can reach approximately 32 knots at around one-third load, while the 860 has a 25- to 28-knot fast cruise between 2,000 and 2,200 rpm. At planning speeds, the yacht has a fuel consumption of about 6 to 7 gallons per nautical mile, but at 10 knots, it drops to around 1.75 gallons per nautical mile, offering nonstop cruising up to 1,000 nm. The yacht also includes two choices of stabilizers, a Seakeeper gyro, and/or Sleipner’s Vector Fins, as well as Xenta’s Adaptive Integrated Docking system.

Ferretti Yachts specializes in constructing yachts that provide a second home for their owners. The Ferretti Yachts 860 is an excellent choice for seeking families looking to transition to the crewed-yacht lifestyle. The yacht is spacious, luxurious, and offers the latest in technology and amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all aboard. The main salon is a prime example, with its open layout, clean lines, and unobstructed views of the surrounding sea. The space is furnished with Poltrona Frau furniture in Hull No. 1, but owners have the option to customize the decor according to their preferences. The free-standing furniture can also be rearranged or refreshed, making it easy to adapt the space for different needs.

The terrace’s wood and stainless steel details are meticulously crafted, providing a touch of elegance to the outdoor space. The garage can accommodate a 13-foot jet tender and a two-seat personal watercraft, offering guests the chance to explore the surrounding waters in style.

Overall, the Ferretti Yachts 860 is a superb example of the company’s dedication to excellence in yacht design and construction. From its exceptional performance to its luxurious interior spaces and ample outdoor areas, this yacht is sure to provide a second home for its owners and a memorable experience for all who step aboard.
